WALLA WALLA - The Blue Mountain Action Council/BMAC Food Bank, as the lead agency, the Walla Walla Food System Coalition, and ten regional organizations are partnering to build a more vibrant local food distribution system.
In September, the Local Food Promotion Program team received a $134,000 award from the USDA to study the feasibility of establishing a food hub in Walla Walla.
Attendees will hear from existing food hubs and processing centers about how they developed, and the lessons learned, at a Food Producers Workshop at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds Community Center, on Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Lunch is provided.
