Kirkman House tea helps fund restoration efforts

WALLA WALLA— The Kirkman House Museum, located at 214 N. Colvillve St. in Walla Walla, will host a Mothers’ Day Victorian Tea on Sat., May 11, at 1:00 p.m. The event will feature all the finery and elements of a high tea accompanied by a vintage fashion show.

Restoration at the Kirkman House Museum began last fall. Work has been completed on the basement foundation and walls. The basement earth floors have been concreted which will reduce moisture levels and the basement can now be used for storage of collections and administrative items which provides much needed working areas upstairs.
