"Hidden In Plain Sight" virtual event shares information about drug and alcohol use by teens

DAYTON-The Coalition for Youth and Families is hosting an online presentation of Hidden in Plain Sight on Tuesday, June 9 from 8 - 10 a.m. The program is an educational experience that walks you through a typical teenage bedroom, which is set up with drug paraphernalia "hidden in plain sight." Access the event through the organization's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/cc.cyf.

Initially designed as a hands-on interactive experience, the program has now been adapted to the virtual realm. The event offers adults insights into current trends in youth substance abuse, drug paraphernalia, concealment of illicit drugs and alcohol. Volunteers educate community members about drug trends, drug paraphernalia, how to talk to youth about alcohol and drugs, and what to do if a problem is suspected.

Log in and learn what is trending with youth today and how to start the conversations that can sometimes be difficult but are necessary.

View CFY's website coalitionforyouthandfamilies.org for more information about the event.

The mission of the Coalition is to promote and support a healthy, and safe environment, free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse, violence, and related social issues affecting our youth and families.
