Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WAITSBURG-Sunday Morning, Ron, Derrek, and Norman met at the Gun Club, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready for the day's adventure. By mid-afternoon, Ron and Derek returned with a much-appreciated load of firewood for the Gun Club's use this next winter.
The board says, "Gentleman, thank you for all your work and labor of love for the membership!"
Every aspect of the club operation is completed by volunteers, including board members who "each pay our dues!"
"To hear comments this weekend and over the past month or so, of how amazing the club grounds looks now – once again, my hat is off to the crew in January who braved the winter cold chills to set the stage for this spring!!!," said the club secretary.
In a press release the club offered this as an answer to how one can help out at the Waitsburg Gun Club:
The honey to-do list...
Unload and stack wood against the back of the tractor shed if you are willing, please do – as this lady really doesn't want to unload the trailer by herself!
Cut and split any wood needed (we do have some large rounds on that load)
Dig out under clubhouse (still flood mud)
Close up under clubhouse
Mow
TBA - Help with ecology block installation
TBA – Help install lights in range house
Large projects we would love to have done someday...
Electronic gate
Lights on Trap Field
Water in Club House / Dust control
On top of the "honey to do's" remember we are offering Range Safety Officer Training this week too! The cost is $125 unless you are willing to volunteer and give back to the club – then I will make you a deal!
Join us for class on
Thursday, April 22 @ 6-9ish
Or
Saturday, April 24 @ 9-12ish
Thank you again to all who have given to the club to help make it what it looks like and is today!
