DW Girls Basketball lose two games, build skills

DW COMBINE—The Wolfpack girls struggled to put the basketball through the hoop in three games last week. The team is a little short-handed this year with only eight girls, but they showed a lot of hustle in each game. The girls worked hard on offense and had more shot attempts in the second half of the games.

Tuesday, January 10, Warden beat DW 66-14. Eighth-grader Peyton Benevides led her team in scoring with nine points.  Sophomore Alyssa Hollingsworth hit a 3-point shot, and junior Makenna Barron scored two points.

Friday, January 13, Columbia-Burbank won 54-4.  Hollingsworth and Benevides scored for DW.

Saturday, January 14, Tri-City Prep won 64-14.  Benevides again led in scoring with nine points, Hollingsworth scored three, and sophomore Teagan Culley scored two points.
