Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
DW COMBINE-The Wolfpack girls continued to improve throughout the basketball season. They played tough and hustled on tired legs, ending their season with only seven players. Before their last game against Walla Walla Valley Academy, senior Claudia Benevides was honored. Benevides' season ended early with a knee injury, but she continued to support her team at practices and games.
The first time DW played WWVA, the girls lost 48-18. At their last home game on February 4th, the Wolfpack girls lost a close game to WWVA 37-31. The third quarter was the only quarter that the girls were outscored.
Teagan Culley and Makenna Barron scored eight points each. Teammates Marissa Tupling and Peyton Benevides scored six points. Alyssa Hollingsworth hit for two points, and Grace Trump made a free throw for one point.
