Waitsburg Class of 2023

WAITSBURG-It is almost the end of the school year and Waitsburg is gearing up to celebrate its graduating seniors. Each week we will highlight students from the Class of 2023.

Natalie Teal

Waitsburg High School ASB President Natalie Teal plans to attend Walla Walla Community College in the fall to obtain her AA degree.  She will then transfer to a four-year university to pursue her plans to be a graphic designer and get a degree in Business Administration. 

Teal is a senior choir member, a T.A. for the fourth grade, and a member of Sources of Strength.  She is the National Honor Society secretary and assists with ASB leadership activities.

A funny memory of Teal's is when a student sat on another student's car and broke the windshield. Teal was excited about returning to school after the pandemic for her senior year. She was happy everyone would have a normal year.

Monte Pettichord

Monte Pettichord is a member of the National Honor Society and the LEO's Club.  He actively participates in leadership class activities.  He has assisted with the local blood drive at the school and participates in sports.

After high school, Pettichord will attend Eastern Oregon University to acquire a degree in Business while playing on the EOU football team.

Pettichord's special memories are playing knockerball during homecoming and  playing at the State Basketball Tournament his senior year.
