DAYTON—“AIR” reveals the unbelievable game-changing partnership between a then rookie Michael Jordan and Nike’s fledgling basketball division which revolutionized the world of sports and contemporary culture with the Air Jordan brand. This moving story follows the career-defining gamble of an unconventional team with everything on the line, the uncompromising vision of a mother who knows the worth of her son’s immense talent, and the basketball phenom who would become the greatest of all time.

Rotten tomatoes critics rate this movie at 92% favorable, and the audience has it at 98%. The Rotten Tomatoes critics consensus is “A fact-based drama that no one will dunk on, “Air” aims to dramatize events that changed the sports world forever -- and hits almost nothing but net”. Some other reviewers noted that this film includes more humor than expected. This movie is rated R for (foul) language throughout, with IMDb parent’s guide stating that the profanity was “severe”. Runtime is 111 minutes. Ben Affleck directs and stars, and the cast includes Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, and others.

The Liberty Theater balcony will be closed from April 24th through most of May for construction, although movies will continue to be shown during the remodel.
