Waitsburg Class of 2023

WAITSBURG-It is almost the end of the school year and Waitsburg is gearing up to celebrate its graduating seniors. Each week we will highlight students from the Class of 2023.

Shaylah King

Shaylah King plans to attend Columbia Basin College and pursue her degree in dental hygiene.

During her high school years, King has been a cheerleader and has played volleyball and softball.  “I think my favorite memory from school is my last softball game.  I dove through the home run fence to try to get the ball,” said King. 

Currently, King works at Pizza Hut when not in high school classes. 

Isaac Conover

Isaac Conover relaxes at home after his high school morning classes. 

He participated in football during high school and he enjoyed reading The Odyssey and Iliad in Mrs. Groom’s class.

Conover will enter the Marine Corp after Labor Day weekend.  He will attend basic training in San Diego.

Preston Hansen

Preston Hansen likes to work with horses. He will continue to work in the local area training horses after high school.  In the winter his plans are to work in Arizona.

Hansen played football for the DW Wolfpack in the fall and currently participates in high school rodeo.
