Ronnie Mings was born on August 15, 1941. He was the son of Henry and Ruth Mings. Ronnie passed away peacefully and very well cared for at Park Manor in Walla Walla, Washington, on June 24, 2023. Ronnie attended and completed school in Dayton, Washington. After completing high school, Ronnie was off to serve in the United States Army. Ronnie married the love of his life, Ruth Angell, on July 25, 1964. Ronnie and Ruth went on to have two children. Ronnie worked construction around the area and owned his company, QC Construction.
Ronnie loved life; he had lots of interests and a love for the outdoors. He was an avid sturgeon fisherman. He loved to go to Elk camp every year with his son-in-law and the younger guys. Ronnie spent many weekends and evenings following his granddaughters', nieces', and nephews' sports and activities.
He is survived by his daughter, Rita Brown, and her husband, John, of Waitsburg; his son Rod Mings and wife, Lorie, of Goodyear, Arizona; five grandchildren Felicia Brown of Walla Walla, Rebecca Brown of Waitsburg, Lexus Benson of Waitsburg, Tristan Mings of Goodyear Arizona, Miranda Mings of Goodyear Arizona, five great-grandsons, and his brother Ray Dean Mings of Prescott.
Ronnie was preceded in death by the love of his life Ruth Mings; his parents, Ruth and Henry Mings; his brothers, Cecil, Glen, and Melvin Mings; and his sister Janet Pomroy.
We will have a Celebration of Life on August 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bryan's Landing at the Little Goose Dam.
