Now under the guidance of the fifth generation, this founding California winery makes a wide range of pricey single vineyard Zins, along with this more affordable yet high quality bottling. Often a featured wine at Costco, its listed price is $26 but you should be able to find this almost anywhere for around $22. This is serious Zinfandel, neither light nor sweet. Its blackberry, plum and cherry fruit is accented with woody herbs and baking spices. A light touch of pepper adds texture and bite.
