Robert Wayne Lybecker was born on September 28, 1962, in Spokane, WA, to Gus & Caroline Lybecker, and departed this world on March 29, 2024, in Tri-Cities, WA.
Robert enjoyed playing high school football and basketball. He also enjoyed playing pool which he was quite good at! After graduating from Waitsburg High School, he pursued his passion for mechanics, earning his AA degree in Diesel Technology at Walla Walla Community College. For many years, he demonstrated his expertise as a diesel mechanic, specializing in heavy equipment. He loved talking about engines.
In his personal life, Robert was united in marriage to Carolee Mackey on June 14, 1986, and they had two wonderful children, Lance Lybecker and Patrisha Lybecker.
Lance, with his wife Brittnay, blessed Robert with three grandsons, Riley, Brian, and Conner. Patrisha and her husband Edwin Cervantes extended the Lybecker family further, with four grandchildren, Noelia, Ruby, Julian, and Edwin.
Later, Robert married Elsie Nelson in Kaui, Hawaii in February 1994. They had a beautiful daughter, Kaysha, and enjoyed the beauty of the island for 2 years together. Kaysha married Brenton Reinhart, and they have two children, Brody and Madisyn.
Robert found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in his passion for fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and tranquility amidst nature's beauty.
Robert's greatest legacy lies in the love he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Robert is survived by his son, Lance Lybecker (Brittnay) and daughters, Patrisha Lybecker (Edwin) and Kaysha Reinhart (Brenton) and grandchildren, Riley, Brian, Conner, Noelia, Ruby, Julian, Edwin, Brody and Madisyn. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Lybecker-Anders (Dale), Laura Tarp (Steve), John Lybecker (Rosie) and Richard Lybecker (Gloria). He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Caroline Lybecker.
