WAITSBURG - Waitsburg Cardinal Isaias Reyes struck out eight and walked one in the first game against Touchet on Saturday, April 20. The Cardinals won the game 10-3.
The Cardinals had a big fourth inning, scoring five runs against the Redhawks. Jarod Hankins was hit by a pitch, then with two outs, the Cardinals rallied. Quinn Benavides and Jasper Morrow each got a hit, and Klint Kuykendall reached base on a Redhawk error. Cyson Morris hit and stole bases to score before the third out was called.
Kuykendall had a triple in the game, and Morris led the team with eight stolen bases.

The Cardinals had a slow start with strikeouts and flyouts in the first three innings of the second game. In the fourth inning, with two outs, the Cardinals scored two runs. The team scored four runs in the fifth and sixth innings. The Cardinals' entire order got to the plate. The Cardinals frustrated the Redhawks with great baserunning. A double by Morris and a triple by Reyes highlighted the inning.
Morrow struck out six and walked five to get the win: 13-5.
