Charlie Oribio will participate in leadership group

DAYTON-The Columbia County Rural Library District announced that Public Services Coordinator Charlie Oribio was selected to participate in the Association of Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) Leadership Institute.

The Leadership Institute is a pilot program providing leadership opportunities for rural and small library workers. Thirty library professionals were selected from across the United States and Canada to engage in residential, online, and conference experiences over the next 18 months to deepen their understanding of and commitment to professional values while they gain practical managerial skills.

The institute described the ideal candidates as dedicated to service in rural and small communities, enthusiastic to learn and grow professionally, and supported by their supervisors and boards.

Ellen Brigham, Director of Library Services, said, "We at CCRLD are delighted to have Charlie representing Columbia County in this international opportunity and congratulate him on his success."
