At the Liberty:"The Odd Couple" (female version)

DAYTON-"The Odd Couple" (female version), directed by Dave Campbell, will be performed live at the theater at 7 p.m. on June 21 and 22 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. Well-known local actors Elizabeth Arebalos-Jagelski and Deanna Tipton star. They turn the tablesular Neil Simon play on the ever-pop to create a highly enjoyable comedy rich in laughter and touching upon the bonds that create friendships. 

Our free summer movies for children start this week with the movie "Journey 2 the Mysterious Island," playing on June 18 and 21, at 1 pm.  A small popcorn and small beverage are available for only $2. 

From a summary of this movie, "Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from an island where none should exist. Knowing that he will not be able to dissuade Sean from tracking the signal to its source, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), Sean's new stepfather, joins the teen on a quest to the South Pacific. Together with helicopter pilot Gabato (Luis Guzmán) and his feisty daughter, Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island and rescue its sole human inhabitant (Michael Caine)." It is rated PG, but may be intense for small children. On June 25 and 28 the children's movie will be "Smallfoot."
