Waitsburg FFA awarded 2-star rating

WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg FFA Chapter was recognized as a Superior Chapter and a State Gold National Chapter after meeting goals set forth by the National Chapter Award Program. The chapter qualified in the top ten percent in the State of Washington as a Gold Chapter and competed for National FFA 3-star, 2-star, or 1-star rating.

Waitsburg's chapter was highlighted for its activities in its best nine categories, including growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture. The Waitsburg FFA Chapter exceeded expectations over the years in student involvement, and its well-rounded program is a testament to the leaders and members.

The chapter earned a 2-star rating and will be recognized at the next National Convention.

"Recognition like this comes from the members, parents, and community," said FFA advisor Nicole Abel.

FFA President for the '24-'25 school year, Alyssa Hollingsworth, said, "I think it is such an amazing achievement for our small chapter. Both the members and officer teams have dedicated time and resources, as well as sacrificing much family time, to better our Chapter these past few years.  Not only does being a 2-Star Chapter mean we are becoming more well known and getting our name out, but it also means we will have the opportunity to be recognized on stage at the National FFA Convention."

Congratulations to the Waitsburg FFA.
