Support for Clayton

Bertha Clayton has my full, unconditional support. That might not mean a lot to many of you, but as someone who has had the pleasure of personally knowing her for over 25 years, and someone proud to call her family (the “in-law” in sister is silent), I can assure you Bertha will bring to the office of county commissioner the steady, stable leadership, professionalism and integrity our county deserves. There is no one better prepared and better suited for the job.

A great leader supports those working alongside them, they elevate and celebrate their wins as a team. A great leader knows one individual is never responsible for a job well done, and a great leader knows to take responsibility when they fall short.

I admire Bertha for running on her own merits and qualifications. She’s running No Party Preference because she doesn’t want to tow the party line. Her decisions will be based on data, research, and objectivity, only answering to Walla Walla County and its residents. Her plan is a simple one. To set up our county for a brighter and prosperous tomorrow. She will bring a calm, objective, and ethical voice to the office.
