DAYTON—In the movie “Trap,” a father and his teen daughter attend a pop concert and realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event. This horror-thriller movie, directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan, follows a serial killer evading a police blockade while attending a concert with his daughter.
Rotten Tomatoes critics and audiences rated this movie at 57% and 65 %, respectively. A consensus of the website’s critics is “An arch thriller given some grounding by Josh Hartnett’s committed performance, Shyamalan’s “Trap” will ensnare those who appreciate its tongue-in-cheek style while the rest will be eager to wriggle out from it.”
This movie is rated PG-13 for some violent content and brief, strong language. The IMDb parent’s guide indicates that the categories of violence/gore and frightening/intense scenes are moderate. All other categories were either mild or none. Runtime is 105 minutes.
