WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Middle School girls varsity volleyball team won their first game of the season at Liberty Christian in Walla Walla on Monday, September 16.
Coach Savannah Castillo said she was proud of how the girls played in the season's first game.
"The girls were pretty tired, as there was only one sub, but they played through it well. We had a lot of great plays and awesome serves. I cannot wait until our next game."
The Cardinals won 25-18, 25-18, 25-14, 17-25, and 15-11. The varsity and junior varsity girls play Richland's Liberty Christian on Kison Court on Wednesday, September 18, starting at 4 p.m.
