In her report, Principal Amy Cox said the parent-teacher conferences will be held from October 23 to 25. The first two days will be half days, with no school on Friday. She emphasized that parents are encouraged to bring their students to the conferences.
Cox said the school library will host the Scholastic Book Fair from October 21 through November 1, 2024, or until the books run out.
Cox said eight to ten Dayton students will attend the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, IND, from October 23 to 26, 2024. She said their schedules would be packed with activities, including concerts during the convention.
Wheatley said a Tramex scan to evaluate moisture on the gym roof was recently completed. The scan should show the extent of repairs that may be needed. Should only the top layer of the roof need replacement, the money saved can be used on other priority projects.
