A Note from Maggie
October 12th was my 50th Anniversary when my dialysis shunt was removed. St. Theresa the Little Flower interceded for me bringing me a huge bouquet of roses as a sign I would survive dialysis early in October 1974. (I was given a bad Smallpox shot at WOS in 1969 and ordered to get a booster before going overseas for duty in August 1974. Three weeks later my kidneys failed.) Still Praising the Lord each day!
I wish to thank all those in my family, classmates, & friends in Southeastern Washington and members of St Mark's Catholic Church who prayed for my recovery. It has been great being part of the Navy family as we traveled across the country several times before settling in Virginia close to Ed's family.
God Bless You all!
Margaret (Maggie) Zuger Fischer. OFS
