The young Cardinals won the game 48-30 with point guard Liam Kiefel leading with 22 points.

Alex Zuniga added 12 points, Jake Lynch 9, Carter Barron 4, and Carson Pennington had 1 point.

"The A team did well for their first game," said Coach Gabe Kiefel. "They lost to Rogers twice last year, having been seventh graders, playing eighth graders. They are excited to play teams their own age this year."

"The B team played hard. Some of these players have never played in an official game before," said Kiefel.

The B-team lost 42-23 but showed improvement in the second half with Wylee Gagnon leading the team with 10 points. Arrow Groom contributed with six points, Mitchell Hays and Ollivyr Dahlby each scored 4, and Emerson Kiefel added one point.

The team will play in Waitsburg on Wednesday, November 20 against Touchet at 4 pm.
