Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

Generosity and fun made Pool fundraiser a Success

WAITSBURG - On Friday, December 6, the Friends of the Waitsburg Pool and Waitsburg Parks and Recreation hosted a fundraiser, successfully raising over $16,000.

The evening began with a concert, by The Frog Hollow Band at The Plaza Theater. The band generously donated their performance, raising funds from general admission and VIP tickets.

After the concert, The Plaza opened its doors to kids for a free movie, including adult supervision, allowing parents to attend the after-concert events at The Royal Block.

With music provided by the Walla Walla DJ, there was dancing, laughter, Bacetto Detroit Pizza, and a competitive silent auction.

"We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended the fundraising concert, participated in the after-party events, donated to the silent auction, and all those who continue to support the pool project. Your generosity and dedication are making a lasting impact.

"Our team shares the passion and vision of this community to bring a pool to Waitsburg, and we are making incredible progress because of your support. The amount of time and effort our volunteers have invested throughout the year-fundraising, planning, and beyond-is immeasurable. We truly would not be where we are today without them.

"If you see one of our volunteers, please take a moment to say thank you. Their hard work and commitment are driving this project forward." said Wendy Carter, President of the Waitsburg Parks and Rec.
