DAYTON — “Moana 2” will be shown on December 27, 28, and 29. The movie will not be shown on Tuesday.
The movie follows Moana after receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors. She must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
“Moana 2” is still going strong after being the biggest Thanksgiving Day opening in history with a massive $386 million box office. Don’t miss “Moana 2” on this second and final weekend at The Liberty. The movie is rated PG for action/peril and has a runtime of 100 minutes.
Following “Moana 2,” the theater will present “Wicked” on January 3 through 7, “Gladiator” on January 10 through 14, and “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” on January 17-21.
The theater hosts an East Coast New Year’s Eve on Tuesday, December 31, at 6:30 p.m. The celebration starts with the 2007 movie “The Bucket List” starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. Tickets are $25 per person for the movie, hors d’oeuvres, and champagne or cider for a New Year’s toast. Admission for the movie only is $6.
Tickets for the event are available at libertytheater.org or the theater’s box office on Tuesday and Friday between 2 and 5 p.m.
