DAYTON — Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet. The cast includes Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Krysten Ritter, Idris Elba, and Keanu Reeves.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” received an 88% favorable rating from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes, one saying there is a “double helping of Jim Carrey’s antics and a quicksilver pace befitting its hero. “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” is the best entry in this amiable series yet.” The audience agreed, giving this film a very positive 96% and commenting, “It is a fun movie all the way through.” The movie is rated PG for action, some violence, rude humor, thematic elements, and mild language, and has a runtime of 109min.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” will play January 17 through 21. The theater’s live production of “THE WITCH IN 204” will play on January 24 through 26. The month wraps up with the screening of “A Complete Unknown,” about Bob Dylan’s early career. The movie will play from January 31 through February 4.

The live performance of “The Witch in 204” weaves a tale of ageless romance and the magic of true love through the lives of those who have lived (55+), which is entertaining, hilarious, and refreshing.
