WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Town Hall has been closed for January by the board of directors to refinish the facility's floor.
The board hired Jonathan Abbey, a graduate of Waitsburg High School, to do the work, including removing floor vents and patching the hardwood floor. Abbey replaced previously repaired floorboards to reweave new boards into the original staggered pattern.
Abbey will complete sanding and sealing the floor, and the hall will reopen in February after the varnish has cured.
