Waitsburg track athletes ready to compete

WAITSBURG - Waitsburg High School track season begins on Saturday, March 15, at a jamboree at Walla Walla High School. The jamboree will not include 200m, 400m, or relays. Running and field events begin at noon.

Coaches Dan Nechodom and Hunter Wallace have thirteen athletes ready to compete in their first season meet against College Place, DeSales, Kennewick, and Walla Walla athletes.

"We are trying to get them off to a good start with lots of fundamental movements and core strengthening," said Coach Nechodom. "You build a foundation before putting up the house."

Coach Wallace is in her first year of coaching track at Waitsburg. Wallace brings knowledge and experience to the program, said Nechodom.
