Waitsburg has new Superintendent

WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg School Board selected Monty Sabin as the district's next Superintendent and Elementary Principal, pending contract negotiations.

Sabin has 26 years of administrative experience, including as superintendent. He served as superintendent of the Moses Lake School District from March 2022 until he resigned in June 2024.

"I was very impressed with all the people I met in Waitsburg, and I am looking forward to being a part of such a wonderful community," said Sabin.

Sabin is a Washington native who earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Utah, a master's from Heritage University, and his superintendent certification from Washington State University.
