KENNEWICK — Waitsburg Track Coach Dan Nechodom said he saw good teamwork and support through bad weather at a track meet at Kennewick on Thursday, March 20.
At the meet, the Cardinals competed against larger schools from Kennewick, Hermiston, Kamiakin, Prosser, and Walla Walla. The team knows every competition is a chance to improve and make districts at the end of the season. Several Cardinals set personal records at Kennewick and will look to progress more on March 20 when they compete in the 7th Annual Clay Lewis Invite at Hanford.
Highlights from Kennewick include Brenton Segraves, who placed 16th in the shot put and 14th in the discus out of 75 athletes, and Teegan Kenney placed 18th out of 100 athletes in the 100 meters.
Personal records set at Kennewick:
