DAYTON — That’s not all, folks! Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, one of the greatest comedic duos in history, are making their hilarious return to the big screen in the sci-fi comedy adventure, “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie.

This is the first fully animated Looney Tunes feature-length film created for a theater audience. Porky and Daffy are the unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope against the threat of an alien invasion. It is a buddy-comedy of epic proportions as they race to save the world. The movie delivers all the laugh-out-loud gags and vibrant visuals that made Looney Tunes iconic but on a scale not yet experienced. It promises to be out of this world. The cast includes Peter MacNicol, Wayne Knight, Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, Laraine Newman, Candi Milo, and Fred Tatasciore.

The consensus of “Rotten Tomatoes” critics is that the movie restores the charm of Looney Tunes with a daffy dose of high energy and inventive gags. “The Day the Earth Blew Up” shows the iconic characters remain fun. One of the site’s audience critics said, “So much fun! My family loved it, and we couldn’t stop talking about it on the way home. Glad to see Looney Tunes in top form again.”

Next weekend, on April 11-15, the theater will show “Last Breath.” The film is based on a true story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time. It is about an oil rig worker stranded without air for 40 minutes on the sea floor after being disconnected from his umbilical cable. Stars Woody Harrelson. It is rated PG-13 for brief, strong language.

The upcoming movie lineup includes “Minecraft” and “The Friend.”
