The annual Mudd Tournament was held April 8, at Touchet Valley Golf Course with twelve teams participating. Tying for first place were the foursomes of Duane Startin, Gene Crothers, Cecil Bramhall, Jack Davis and Larry Munden, Steve Jones, Jeremy Phinney, Larry Tidmarsh. Patty Eng, Marvin Eng, Laurie Withers and Ian Withers came in third. Every team won a part of the entry fees and a number of individual prizes were given. The annual meeting and dinner followed at The Sand Trap.
On Wednesday, April 12, sixteen members of the Women's Association turned out. Winners of the "play of the day" were the team composed of Mary Ellen Juris, Lois Howard, Mona Himmelberger and Lavonne Bren.
Thursday is Men's Day every week at Touchet Valley Golf Course. Manyu of the fellows play in the afternoon and again in the three-man "scramble" in the late afternoon.

Weller Public Library is nearly moved into its new and more spacious quarters. Several persons have spent many hours this past week moving, indexing and arranging books.
Mary Leid Olona, CWSC graduate and former Wait-Hi student, will present a flannel board drama of "Thumbelina" on Friday morning, April 25 at 10:00 o'clock during a story hour, which promises to be a regular weekly feature of the library. Preschoolers are welcome, and must be accompanied by an adult.
The Library Board will host to groups of young people from the kindergarten through the sixth grade on a field trip of the new facilities, to encourage summer reading.

Selected to represent the Days of Real Sport and to vie for queen of the annual event are Dorothy Gagnon, Connie Cole, Meredith Julce, Jo Anne Zuger and Grace Nees.
Bobby Abbey celebrated his fifth birthday Monday afternoon at the home of his parents. Nine guests included Cathy McCown, Butch Peck, Roger Gertke, Anita Abbey, Carole Harris, David McKay, Laura Abbey, Diane Abbey and Arlene Abbey.
Mr. and Mrs. Cap Kinman entertained at bridge Friday evening (at Eureka) in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary.
One Hundred Years Ago
May 1, 1925
George Drumheller of Walla Walla who has just returned from Tiajuana, Mexico has shipped a part of his raw string to the excellent track at City Park, this city, to continue training.
The ladies of the Priscilla Club held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Walter Taylor in honor of Mrs. Smith Hoops who expects to leave soon. There were 22 present. Refreshments were served.
In the tennis match Wednesday between teams from Walla Walla high school and the local school, Wait-Hi came off with most of the honors.
