Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

Waitsbrug Senior Portraits

Jessika Lambert

Jessika Lambert has been a Naval Sea Cadet Core member since her freshman year at Waitsburg High School. She is a Petty Officer 3rd Class and will travel to Great Lakes, Illinois, in July for boot camp. Lambert will then go to Texas to train as a Master of Arms (military police).

Lambert has been a Waitsburg student since kindergarten. She is now in her second year at SEATech Skills Center, where she studies criminal justice.

Sports, animals, and Girl Scouts have been Lambert's pastimes. She has played volleyball, basketball, and softball at WHS. Her involvement in scouting began in kindergarten.

Lambert has volunteered at the Milton-Freewater livestock show since she was five, and as an FFA member, she showed sheep and goats at the local fairs while in high school.

Lambert's favorite memory at Waitsburg is Mrs. Groom's ASB Leadership class.

Mylie Jones

Mylie Jones smiles as she says that being autistic gives her the strength to do things that she would not have tried. "It is my superpower," said Jones.

Jones lives in Dixie and began attending Waitsburg High School for her freshman year. She has been involved in cheerleading, volleyball, and softball. She is currently the ASB secretary and has volunteered at the concession stand and the Amazing Shake haunted house.

She loves to dance and took lessons from age five to ten. Jones used her experience to volunteer at her church during Vacation Bible School as a dance leader.

Jones plans to attend Walla Walla Community College after graduation to receive her Associate of Arts Degree. She would like to work as a paralegal.

Making and giving friendship bracelets to the senior volleyball players when she was a freshman is a fond memory of Jones. She appreciated the kindness of senior Megan Forney.

Cooper Selph

Cooper Selph has attended Waitsburg Schools since kindergarten. After a full day of classes at WHS, he goes home to do chores and to care for his uncle.

Selph will be a full-time caretaker for his uncle after graduation. He plans on enrolling in training classes, including CPR, to become a qualified caregiver.

This October, Selph volunteered to play a scary clown at the Amazing Shake's haunted house fundraiser, helping raise $1,100. His favorite memories from his years at WHS were "hanging out with friends in class."

Alyssa Hollingsworth

Alyssa Hollingsworth has enjoyed an extensive list of activities while attending school at Waitsburg since preschool.

She has been a leader while playing volleyball, basketball, and track. Hollinsworth has been an officer in FFA for three years and is currently president. She competes in FFA competitions, including showing swine for five years and goats for two. She has been a member of the National Honor Society and serves as president.

Outside of school, Hollingsworth volunteers at Dayton American Legion Auxiliary events and has been a junior member for six years. She has been in Girl Scouts for thirteen years and a program aide for seven years. As a 4-H member, she has been a junior leader and a camp counselor. Hollingsworth was named Counselor in Training in 2023 and Counselor of the Year in 2024.

Hollingsworth takes two classes at WHS, is a teacher's aide for one class, and then attends Walla Walla Community College's running start program in the afternoon. After graduation, she will continue at WWCC to receive her Associate of Arts in Communication and then transfer to Eastern Washington University to earn a Bachelor of Education degree.

Hollingworth has been a lifeguard at Prescott's pool for the last two summers. After graduation, she plans to spend her summer traveling Europe before classes start in the fall.

Practices and bus rides as a team member of the Wolfpack sports and FFA are Hollingsworth's best memories of WHS.
